Date: Thursday July 14 | 6pm Mexico | 7pm Peru, Colombia | 5pm California | 9pm Argentina
Schedule: 6 - 8:30 pm Mexico Central
Duration: 10 Classes
Facilitated by: Susana de Belaunde
The purpose of this course is to study the terrain in which the ideas of Ernest Holmes took root, to enrich our understanding of the foundations of Science of the Mind; and second, to savor the riches of the rational, philosophical and mystical concepts with which these three great writers contributed.
We will observe that although these three writers had very varied backgrounds and styles, they also had several things in common. The three had a very high formal education, in contrast to Ernest Holmes, who was self-taught. They were all creative and ingenious people, willing to express their opinions with strength and conviction. Just as they honored their own independent ideas, so we, in reading their writings, must honor ours. By maintaining an open and receptive attitude to their ideas, we will carefully compare them with the concepts of Ernest Holmes and we can personally determine those with which we "resonate", and those with which we do not agree.
We will also study Phineas Quimby and his discovery of Jesus' method of healing, and we will go back centuries to investigate the sources from which all these great characters extracted their knowledge.
For our classes we use state-of-the-art technology: a virtual platform where you can find all the material of the class, share your ideas and discoveries, stay in private communication with your colleagues through forums. The learning platform is accessible 24 hours a day. To communicate we use video conferences during the weekly classes. If you require it, we have an advisor on hand to train you in the technology before the start of the class. Classes are recorded and a log of everything written is saved.
Classes are limited to 12 students, in order to support each student in the most personal way possible. Classes consist of 3 hours in current time and are recorded; so that in case of absence you can listen to everything that was said, see the presentations that were made, listen to the meditations and / or recorded exercises and send your questions and comments. The material is available to students 24 hours a day and up to three weeks after completing the course.
Requirements: It is recommended to take after Fundamentals of Science of the Mind or Beyond Limits. However, there will be a previous mini-class to know the core concepts of Science of Mind in case of new interested students.
